The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) is making final preparations for its 75th Annual Convention and Exposition, taking place October 31-November 3, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. The Association will be welcoming members from around the world to celebrate 75 years as the voice of the professional automotive recycling industry.
“We are excited to use this 75th anniversary to focus on building a stronger, more unified industry and organization,” said ARA President David Gold, Standard Auto Wreckers, Scarborough, Ontario. “This is truly a milestone anniversary and as we honor the legacy of the Association, we are making sure to blend history with a new twist to add as much value for each attendee as possible – along with plenty of excitement!”
The theme of the 75th Annual Convention is “Find Your Magic” and this year’s event offers something for everyone while taking full advantage of everything that Disney has to offer. “One of the most unique educational opportunities we have this year is a Keynote session with Disney Institute,” said ARA Executive Director, Sandy Blalock. “Disney trainers will strategically focus on the details of our industry and offer insight specific to automotive recyclers on topics such as leadership excellence, quality service and employee engagement.”
Offering over 30 educational sessions, including new peer-to-peer sessions and the debut of an ARA Mentoring Program, the 75th Annual ARA Convention offers something for everyone. “The peer-to-peer panels are being designed for both full-service and self-service operations,” said incoming ARA President, Jonathan Morrow, M&M Auto Parts, Inc., Fredericksburg, Virginia. “Similarly-sized business can share information and the goal is to help strengthen all of our member facilities by developing deeper relationships and increasing industry communication.” ARA members will have the option of signing up to be mentored by one of the industry’s leading yards.
Early-bird registration rates are available through September 28, 2018 and full program information is available at www.araexpo.org.
